In 2017, our London-based client, specializing in bespoke wardrobes, recognized the need to optimize their business operations, especially the quoting process. Our client discovered that providing free wardrobe estimates was costing them up to £100 per estimate. This expense, combined with a conversion rate of around 10%, meant that the client acquisition cost was nearly £1,000.
Realizing the inefficiency, our client sought a solution to streamline this process and improve his bottom line. We collaborated to develop a sophisticated wardrobe configurator. This tool enabled potential customers to design their own wardrobes online, effectively pre-qualifying themselves as serious leads and significantly increasing the conversion rate.
There was much complexity involved, as an exemplary wardrobe configuration image would consist of over 500 images with transitions applied. Due to the technical limitations of web 3D at the time, we opted to use 2D transparent elements to render the final wardrobe designs. This approach ensured a seamless and user-friendly experience without compromising on visual appeal or functionality.
The implementation of this configurator not only reduced the time and cost associated with generating estimates but also enhanced the overall customer experience, leading to higher satisfaction and increased sales.
