A render is a stack. Each layer shows one part of the product and is tied to one parameter, so the body layer changes when the fabric changes and the legs layer changes when the wood does.
Add the layer
- Open the model and go to Layers.
- Click Add layer, name it after the part it shows, and tie it to a parameter.
- Drag it into position. Layers are painted bottom to top.
| Pr. | Name | Parameters | Images | Flags |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 | Shadow | 1/1 | ||
| 20 | Frame | Leg | 4/4 | |
| 30 | Headboard | Fabric | 36/40 | |
| 40 | Bedding | Fabric | 40/40 | Optional |
Get the order right first
The shadow under the legs has to sit below the legs; the stitching above the fabric. Reordering later does not require re-uploading anything, but it does mean checking the whole stack again, because a layer that moves up starts covering the ones below it.
What to reuse
Troubleshooting
The legs are drawn on top of the fabric
The legs layer is above the body layer. Drag it below and re-check the rest of the stack.
The layer has no effect on the render
It is probably tied to a parameter nobody is changing, or it has no images yet. Check coverage.
