Each layer image is one layer shown in one option: the body in grey linen, the legs in natural oak.
Upload them
- Open the model, then the layer.
- Upload one image for each option of that layer’s parameter.
- Save.
A layer tied to a fabric parameter with 40 fabrics needs 40 images. A layer tied to 3 woods needs three. You never upload one image per combination, the compositor makes those.

Troubleshooting
It says the image is a duplicate
That layer and option already have an image, and there can only be one: otherwise the compositor would have no way to choose. Replace the existing one instead of adding a second.
I added an option and now images are missing
A new option needs a new image on every layer tied to that parameter. Coverage will show you exactly which.
