Items in different groups are connected by an Item field. The field is set up on the group; you use it when filling the form.
Use it
- Open the item.
- Find the relation field: it is named for what it links to: Fabrics, Legs, Bases.
- Pick from the list. It only offers items from the group that field points at.
If the field takes several values, it behaves as a tag input: add as many as apply.
Why the picker is narrow
That is the point. A field aimed at Fabrics cannot accidentally be filled with a leg. An empty picker usually means the target group has no items yet in this project , relations never cross projects.
What to reuse
Troubleshooting
The item I want is not in the list
It is in a different group from the one this field points at, or in a different project. Check which group the field targets before adding the item somewhere new.
I need a different price for each pairing
That is a value on the pair, not on either item. It needs the field’s repeat per related item switch: see fields that hold several values.
